"Football for All” is a project organized and funded in partnership between the UEFA Foundation for children and Tawazon Initiative for Development. Under the management of Captain Emile Rustom, the former Lebanese national Player and Coach, more than 500 disadvantaged girls and boys, from the five governorates of Lebanon are having an equal opportunity to practice football in a safe and professional atmosphere. These kids generally are coming from families severely affected by the economic meltdown, social and political crises that have afflicted Lebanon since October 2019. In each governorate, there is a dedicated well-equipped training center where Lebanese qualified coaches are providing two training sessions and a game every week. A coordinator liaises and organizes the matches between the various training centers.
Thanks to the support of the UEFA Foundation for Children
and Tawazon, we’ve brought joy to 863 children and their families. Here’s how:
- In
2023 and 2024, we ensured that these young players could practice their
favorite sport "Football” in excellent conditions.
- This
year, we introduced two popular activities, Rope Jumping and Hip-Hop Dance
- in Beirut.
- Across
Lebanon’s five main regions, 5 training centers welcome enthusiastic
children.
- Former
Lebanese Internationals and qualified educators lead four weekly sessions.
- Encouraging
women’s football, we have 319 girls participating, and we’re working
toward increasing the number of girls."
Tawazon proudly joins the UEFA Foundation for Children in celebrating their remarkable 10th anniversary! For the past decade, the Foundation has transformed the lives of disadvantaged children worldwide, using football as a force for social good, education, and empowerment.
As a proud partner, we’ve witnessed firsthand the impact of their work in fostering resilience, hope, and opportunities for young people. Together, we believe that Every Child Is a Champion.
Join us in congratulating the UEFA Foundation on this milestone.
