Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are the key economic engine for growth and job opportunities. They are the main economic drivers in Lebanon as they play a noteworthy role in job creation, poverty alleviation and economic growth.

In Lebanon, SMEs represent 95% of all businesses (57% concentration in wholesale, retail and repairs) and 50% of employment (see www.economy.gov.lb).

Since 2019, SMEs have encountered many economical funding barriers. TAWAZON aims to:

  • Address the business gaps:
    • Determine/establish a clear business strategy and vision
    • Reduce expenses
    • Advice on proper procurement
  • Advise in business development
  • Provide funding when needed
  • Support innovative entrepreneurship ideas
  • Provide monitoring and evaluation
